WHAT: Poetry Recitation and Valentine exchange
WHEN: Saturday February 15th from 3-5 p.m.
WHERE: Spanish Fork Library downstairs--the room on the south end of the children's section where they show movies and do story times.
DETAILS: Have each child
memorize a poem and prepare to recite it in front the group. (If they prefer to read instead of recite, or they're just too young or too shy to participate in this part, that's okay too.)
Each child
also needs to bring a valentine box/bag and valentines to share with the
other children. The number of Valentines needed will be tallied after
everyone has RSVP'd.
An award will be given for the most creative valentine box. At the end of each meeting we will have an "open share" time where
families can share any project or learning experience, separate from the
monthly theme.

Palmers are in! We will all come (9) but About 5 will recite. (Hopefully :))
ReplyDeleteSwans are in as well. We'd like the 12-2 time please. 2 (hopefully) will recite, 3 will swap Valentines. Are there any sort of food restrictions on the Valentines? We're totally fine if that's the case, just want to be aware. :) Again, if you need help with anything, we are happy to lend a hand. Love this!
ReplyDeleteNo restrictions on food. ; )
ReplyDeleteWe would love to come! I will have one recite and have four that will swap valentines.

ReplyDeleteThe Friel family is sad that we will not be able to make it to this party. We have extended family commitments that day. Just wanted to let you know since we are new...we haven't dropped out:)

ReplyDeleteWe're coming! Three valentines to exchange and 2 to share poems. Thank you for hosting this!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a lot of fun! Three valentines to exchange and maybe two shared poems. Does the library allow food in that room? Just wondering if it's possible to bring a treat to share with the parents ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt will be okay to exchange food with the Valentines for kids to take home, but they don't want us eating food in the room.
ReplyDeleteThree Valentines to exchange and no poems. You know I don't really have performers. Thanks for doing this.It looks so fun!
