Announcing Utah County Homeschool Showcase

Admit it--your kids are doing some wonderful things in your homeschool. Now give them an opportunity to share it! One evening a month we will meet as families (yes, bring dad) and share our best work.

Invite your child to bring a project to display on the project table or a piece to perform or recite. You can participate in our monthly theme if you wish. (See list for the upcoming months on the right side of your screen. Details for the January art show are coming.)

Why? Having a showcase night allows your children to experience getting up in front of a friendly group and develop their social skills. It gives them an audience for their best work. It introduces them to what other children are learning. And it allows your whole family to network with other homeschooling families who are interested in joining forces on projects, offering classes, or simply making friends.

Feeling shy? Come anyway! See what others are doing without pressure to participate until your child is ready. Relax--we're all friends.

This blog will be a shared, private space for each family to use jointly. We'll all be authors here. We can document our fun, post announcements, arrange field trips, discuss projects--anything we want!

  1. This is AWE-some! (Say this in a operatic sounding voice, plenty of gusto and you'll get the idea)

I can't wait to meet up other interested families. I think this will be tremendously fun!
